• 5.0 out of 5 stars from Chalie W -- Awesome combination thriller/horror/action story : I have been a big fan of Greig Becks since his first novel. Love the Alex Hunter series. This one is definitely out of this world compared to the other Alex Hunter stories ;-). I read a few of the other reviews and a few of them said the same things I was going to say. Definitely similar to "The Thing" but in a more desolate place than the antartic! So, all I can really say is that if you read the previous books in the series, this is a must read. You will definitely enjoy it! For those that haven't read the series or are not caught all the way up, you do need to read the other books in the series to totally enjoy this book! • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Belleraphon -- Always a great story, every time. : Another fun adventure for our HAWCs. Hunter will prevail. I really look forward to any book by Beck. This one had great characters and a rather different kind of evil beastie. I enjoyed the carryover from the last book as well. It helped put perspective on how things were left unfinished at the end of the last book. Nice to catch up. Was also fun to see the team working in space. Great time. Highly recommended. The mixing of mental telepathy, cyborgenitics I Robot ¹ was a little put on though I recognized Alex Hunter the other inside himself Joshua, Sophia mixture at this point was pinch much. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Gerald -- Great military horror novel : The Hawks go in to get Alex from Sophia, the rogue AI who is capable of defeating armies single handedly, with a couple of 1000 pound mech suits. Great fight. The Russian base is annihilated by a "life form" and a tech must get away and inform the American base of the threat before they are overtaken as well. The Hawks get to go to the moon in a third of the time to hopefully beat a Russian, who are now very accusatory, rocket to the site. This does have nuances of The Thing but Greig has as always used science to draw from therefore giving a broad description of the creature. And yes, the ending does leave an opening for a follow up book in Alex Hunter number 10 hopefully. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2021 )
• 5.0 out of 5 stars from Stacy -- Another fabulous read : Wow, wow is a justifiable description of the continued series of the fantastic winning adventures and battles of the Alex Hunter and his team of Super Warriors. Will there be a 10th Alex Hunter? I believe so as the ending of this book left a lone presence on the moon that can survive for over a thousand years if necessary and one that is quite unique. In fact, it is his best work period in my opinion. I only hope Greig will continue the Alex Hunter series because there is no other super hero as unique like him. Unbelievable great read. At first I kinda thought this was a little to close to the Aliens story line but it had its twists and differences. Hoping there's more to come. I have followed this series from the beginning . • 5.0 out of 5 stars from snuffer31 -- Alex Hunter Doing What He Does Best : Firstly I'm a huge fan of the author and so far none of his work has disappointed me, and it doesn't with his latest offering, it taps into our primal fear of the unknown especially when it comes from out there in the cold dark expanse of space, but the monster is closer to home this time brought about by science's complete lack of understanding of something new. The mix of military and science is just the other side of what's available at present whilst being all to believable, add to that as a race we will be going back to the moon within the next 10 years, just hope the Russians aren't there first 🤔 ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 6, 2021 )

It's like watching a movie in your head. The narrator is excellent he is the best I've heard wish he read all my books. The way he brings life to the characters is exceptional.
